With more than two decades of experience as a board-certified family nurse practitioner, Nancye Lynn Sadler, FNP-BC, has dedicated her life’s work to improving access to high-quality healthcare for individuals and families in her community. Since beginning her career in 2001, she has served in a wide range of clinical settings—including emergency medicine, urgent care, pediatrics, and family practice—allowing her to gain extensive knowledge across the continuum of care. This breadth of experience has shaped her holistic, compassionate approach to medicine, where she treats not just the symptoms but the whole person.
Six years ago, Nancye identified a critical unmet need in her community: accessible and effective addiction treatment. With vision and determination, she designed and launched an innovative program that has since become a model for others in Virginia. Her leadership has been instrumental in pioneering insurance-covered treatment modalities and creating adolescent addiction management programs, making her practice the first in the Commonwealth to deliver these essential services. Her work has helped reduce barriers to care, allowing individuals and families to access treatment without stigma or financial hardship.
Nancye is a DATA 2000-waivered provider and has completed advanced training in the ASAM staging process, equipping her to provide evidence-based care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Her practice integrates addiction medicine, family practice services, mental health support, and preventive care, offering patients a comprehensive healthcare home where all aspects of wellness are addressed. She strongly believes in blending medical expertise with compassion, advocacy, and patient education, empowering individuals to take control of their health.
Beyond addiction treatment, Nancye continues to deliver the full spectrum of family practice services, from managing chronic illnesses and acute conditions to providing wellness care for children, adults, and seniors. Her philosophy emphasizes long-term health partnerships—building trust with her patients and supporting them at every stage of life.
Outside the clinic, Nancye finds peace and renewal in horseback riding and caring for her animals. Her connection to horses and the natural world not only brings her personal joy but also inspires her work, reminding her daily of the importance of balance, resilience, and compassion in both life and medicine.
